Democrats constantly go around claiming they support the troops and they even get angry when people supposedly question their patriotism. Well, check this out.
Lawmakers have slammed the classroom door shut on Massachusetts soldiers home from Iraq and seeking to go to state college, failing to cough up $8 million needed for crucial tuition waivers.
Army and Air National Guard soldiers expecting to be rewarded for their war duty under Gov. Mitt Romney’s “Welcome Home” bill found the welcome mat ripped out last week by the Legislature as it ended its formal session without approving money for the waivers.
How nice of those democrats to slap our brave men and women returning from Iraq. But that's not even the worst part of the story. The following will leave you speechless.
Lashing out at the “wrong priorities” of lawmakers, Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey said, “The Legislature has made the appalling decision to vote on things like tuition breaks for illegal immigrants, but they couldn’t take the time to take a vote to help our Massachusetts war heroes . . . I find it deeply disturbing.”
Now can we question their patriotism?

Tuition breaks for illegal immigrants...absurd. They should not even be here and now the dumb dems will give them breaks for breaking the laws of this country. While the brave military returning after faithfully serving ALL of us will receive nothing. This is almost impossible to believe but know I read it correctly. The elected officials of Massachusetts have their priorities reversed. Is it any wonder the illegals are flocking to our border in droves - they get the freebies and the military after serving these stupid elected officials are receiving nothing. I feel ashamed to be an American, in the same country as these bastards.
The democrats will, by all means, make sure the illegal immigrants have all the benefits that belong to our beloved service men and women. How on earth do they close their eyes at night and go to sleep, knowing what they have done?
If it was their son or daughter, do you think things may be a little different? Most of these young soldiers do not come from priviledged backgrounds like the lawmakers kids come from. In fact, most of the nation does not. My heart goes out to our military. I just cannot imagine how they must feel to know that the illegal immigrants have been put in such a "receiving" status while they have to grovel for everything they get after having put their lives on the line to protect us and the stupid people who are behind it. God bless all our military and keep them safe.
