"Unharmed?"

I find the first paragraph in this New York Times article rather odd.

JERUSALEM, Aug. 27 — Two journalists kidnapped in Gaza were released unharmed on Sunday after being forced at gunpoint to say on a videotape that they had converted to Islam.

Am I the only one that believes it quite "harmful" to be forced to convert to Islam at the point of a gun by terrorist kidnappers? Although I'm not the most religious person around I can imagine the pain someone would go through when they're forced to renounce whatever religion they have. I wonder what the democrat run Times would say if one of the journalists were to refuse because they were deeply religious and then beheaded?

Unharmed??? These men will bear psychological scars for as long as they live. The journalist who wrote this either does not have a heart or he doesn't have a brain..I think it is both. They are compassionate to the enemy, but not the victims.

It always strikes me as silly when I hear stories about people being forced to make ideological statements they normally wouldn't make. C'mon - did the kidnappers really think we'd take the hostages' comments seriously? What a bunch of dolts.

Les, as irrational as that would seem, consider how irrational they truly ARE! Not only do they expect that the "conversion" was real, Centanni and Wiig will surely be killed, as per Islamic law, if they ever speak out publically in denial of the veracity of their "conversions". Sickening, isn't it?

Did you see the spine deep fear in Centanni's eyes in his interview On The Record with Greta a couple of nights back? He will never be the same, nor should he ever be. Poor men. The whole episode fills me with overwhelming rage.

Now anyone can have their religioius beliefs questioned, how dastardly of these people to force any human to "admit he is Islamic." Whether an American would ever believe this lie is one thing but to be forced to even tell such a lie is downright outrageous.

Another so-called "journalist" who has not learned the meaning of the word "HARM" or "UNHARMED". Don't know how they get jobs without understanding the English language.
