Stark Comparison

When Elizabeth Edwards cancer returned here is what Republicans said:

To Sen. Edwards: sincerest best wishes for your wife’s health. You have your priorities right. I hope you can return to the campaign.

Me, too, either. Get well, Elizabeth.

Best wishes to the Edwards family and to Elizabeth for a full recovery. Say what you want about the man as a politician, but his priorities are well in order on this one.

You can read all the well wishes here. Almost every single one is compassionate. Compare that to the reaction of democrats when they heard that White House spokesman Tony Snow is going in for surgery.

Well wishes for Elizabeth Edwards and death wishes for Tony Snow. I don't understand how anyone would publish the remarks about Snow, he is not even a politician, he's the White House spokesman, doing his job and doing it well. I hope all goes well for both Edwards and Snow. We need more people as brave as these two who have shared publicly the lives of people living with cancer.

For those of us who are cancer survivors, we can certainly feel empathy for Elizabeth Edwards. We also have the same sentiments for Tony Snow. How someone could wish him ill is beyond my understanding.
Obviously these people have never been faced with this challenge and do not realize how precious each and every day becomes. I pray for God's blessings and healing for both of them. How terrible it must be to be for Tony to be faced with this and then have the democrats wishing death upon him.

My best to Edwards and Snow. Cancer is a serious illness not something to condemn someone about.
