Staffer Fired For Racist And Anti-Semitic Statements

But something pretty darn important is missing.

Rep. Benjamin Cardin has fired a campaign staffer who posted racially charged comments against his opponent on the Internet, the congressman's campaign said Saturday.

The staffer's blog includes references to Oreo cookies. Cardin's opponent, Republican Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, who is black, has said people threw Oreos at him during a 2002 debate as a slight directed at his race and political views.

In a statement, Cardin, who is white, also condemned comments written by the female staffer on her blog that he considered derogatory to Jews.

"I am deeply offended and disgusted by the blog's racial and anti- Semitic overtones," the 10-term congressman said. "The staff person responsible was promptly dismissed and will have nothing to do with my campaign."

Not once in the entire article does it state that the staffer or her boss, Mr. Cardin, are democrats. My guess that if the person making these racists comments were a Republican, said Republican would have been described as such at least a half dozen times. The democrat run AP news service runs Cardin's name 5 times, if he were a Republican I bet the description would have been "Republican candidate Cardin" all five times. I wonder if AP even realizes how liberally biased they are?

Oh, it's for certain, had it been a republican saying what he said he would have been under the jail by now. And by the way, AP is biased as biased can be.

Oh, for sure the individual who had a problem with his staffers is a democrat but as you mentioned that fact was omitted from the whole article. Strange how some "journalists" just forget the important details.
