At Least One Democrat Isn't Afraid To Be Honest

At the most visited democrat blog at least one liberal isn't afraid to be truthful about how he/she feels about America:

Why I hate America

Among many reasons, I hate America for the near-extermination and subsequent oppression of its indigenous population. I hate it for its role in the African slave trade and for dropping atomic bombs on civilians. I hate its control of institutions like the United Nations, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and World Trade Organization. I hate it for propping up brutal dictators like Suharto, Pinochet, Duvalier, Hussein, Marcos, and the Shah of Iran. I hate America for its unconditional support for Israel. I hate its bogus two-party system, its one-size-fits-all culture, and its income gap. I could go on for pages but I'll sum up with this: I hate America for being a hypocritical white supremacist capitalist patriarchy.

I think that paragraph pretty much sums up exactly how democrats feel about America. He/she hit on almost every talking point including their rabid hatred of Jews and their vicious hatred of the free markets.

The following paragraph by this typical democrat shows how spineless and cowardly the left truly is. He/she whines that if he/she were to move to another country (which apparently he/she wants to) then he/she would be on the receiving end of American foreign policy. I guess he/she was planning on moving to Syria, Iran, or North Korea.

Now can we question their patriotism?

This American-hating person deserves to be sent to another country where the freedom we enjoy here is something of a memory for the rest of his/her life. Let them live under a dictator, a killer, such as Saddam or the likes of him, and just see then how wonderful this person thinks our great America is. God bless America!

Like how this America-hating rascal defines his hatred to the following: elected/appointed officials and corporations. This is part of what America is all about. This turkey doesn't know that America is comprised of everyone and everything who lives and does business here. So he hates everyone and everything. Dont know why people like him don't move to a communist country where they will be happy.

Granted, this writer's confrontational rhetorical style leaves alot to be desired, but c'mon, CJ - you omitted a crucial part of the article that appears immediately before the segment you quoted in your post, as Blake touched on. Here it is:

"If by 'America' they mean the elected/appointed officials and the corporations that own them, well, I guess I do hate that America-with justification."

Guess what, guys? I hate that part of America too! I hate the fact that corporations, lobbyists, special interest groups - whatever - have their slimy little tentacles wrapped around so many of our public "servants" on both sides of the aisle. I hate the fact that responsible stewardship gets put on the back burner while kickbacks and sweetheart deals often take top priority. This is not only a hindrance to social and political progress, it's downright immoral. I, for one, have no problem whatsoever with hating that aspect of our nation. Think about the logic for a sec - I hate the fact that my girlfriend smokes. Does that mean I hate HER? Of course not.

That said, to assume only OUR country is susceptible to corruption would be naive. People are people, folks. Temptation is a powerful seductress, and corruption is obviously an international phenomenon. Just look at the United Nations. However, that doesn't mean we can't call our own country out on behavior we find unethical. In other words, behaviors we hate.
