Here We Go Again

How many times have we heard this?

There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas – parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia – where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.

The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it.

...The central fact is that after three quarters of a century of extraordinarily mild conditions, the earth’s climate seems to be cooling down. Meteorologists disagree about the cause and extent of the cooling trend, as well as over its specific impact on local weather conditions. But they are almost unanimous in the view that the trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century.

... Climatologists are pessimistic that political leaders will take any positive action to compensate for the climatic change, or even to allay its effects... The longer the planners delay, the more difficult will they find it to cope with climatic change once the results become grim reality.

Oh wait, that article was in Newsweek in 1975 and the subject was GLOBAL COOLING. Is it possible for an enviornmentalist wacko to be embarrassed? They're even using the exact same phrases the wackos used 30 years ago. By the way, did you notice the dire warning that in 10 years all these predictions would come true? Who else said that? Oh yeah, Al Gore. What a joke these dopes are!

How well I remember reading the dire predictions about "Global Cooling", some even called it the "coming of a new ice age". Now the same thing is happening in reverse. When will these idiots learn that we co not control the weather. It comes from a higher power, I call it God, others call it nature. Whatever you call it, it is not MANMADE WEATHER. Get real, you stupid Gord er Gore.

I also remember the big deal they made of Global Cooling back in the 70's. And now here they are using the same words for Global Warming.
Al Gore needs to wake up and realize our weather is not in man's hands.

There they go again, all confused, don't know hot from cold. Someone should introduce them to water faucets, show them hot on left and cold on right. ha ha

History is repeating itself from the 70s to 2007, and in reverse this time.
