What The Democrat Run Media Believe Is News

This is all over the news:

CONCORD, New Hampshire (AP) -- Three retired generals challenged a dozen members of Congress in a new ad campaign Wednesday, saying the politicians can't support President Bush's policies in Iraq and still expect to win re-election.

"I am outraged, as are the majority of Americans. I'm a lifelong Republican, but it's past time for change," retired Maj. Gen. John Batiste told reporters.

"Our strategy in Iraq today is more of the same, a slow grind to nowhere which totally ignores the reality of Iraq and the lessons of history," Batiste said. "Our president ignores sound military advice and surrounds himself with like-minded and compliant subordinates."

I have no problem with people airing their views no matter how misguided but this is only 3 former generals. Now, has anyone seen this on the news?

An Appeal For Redress is an authorized means for active duty military to submit a grievance to Congress. It can be signed by Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard military personnel.

It is authorized by DoD Directive 1325.6 and DoD Directive 7050.6 (pdf).

The wording of the Appeal is:

As an American currently serving my nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to fully support our mission in Iraq and halt any calls for retreat. I also respectfully urge my political leaders to actively oppose media efforts which embolden my enemy while demoralizing American support at home. The War in Iraq is a necessary and just effort to bring freedom to the Middle East and protect America from further attack.

Almost 3000 ACTIVE DUTY personnel have signed the petition. Wouldn't you say that those 3000 outweigh the lonely 3 RETIRED generals? Of course the democrat run media has completely ignored this story. All they want you to know is that everyone is against this war.

War is always sad, and it's sad to see the generals making opposing statements. I will be so glad when the war is over and we can settle into a state of peace again. It's difficult to imagine a relative receiving word that someone they love has been injured or killed in action. I pray for peace every day.

The boots on the ground know what they are doing. My adoptive soldier is so very upbeat and pro-America. These soldiers are doing what they were trained to do. They want to stay and finish the job. To retreat would mean that the lives of our servicemen already shed would be for nothing. They know this and they are not willing to do it. Thank God for our military men and women. May God bless them and their mission.

People don't always agree but these generals are at opposite ends of the matter. Makes me wonder how that could be.

I would say the 3,000 troops far
outnumber the three generals. What is this world coming to? What is happening to patriotism in our beloved United States of America. If it's left up to the democrats, there will be no patriotism. They want to turn tail and run and then have us labeled as cowards, quitters, etc. and make us sitting ducks for any country that would like to invade our land because they think we are too cowardly to fight for our freedom.

We should fight until we win, that's what you do in a war.
