Police have arrested four people and are questioning about 20 more in connection with vandalism that took place at an east side Army recruiting office Monday night.

Officers were called to the 3100 block of Oakland Ave. around 8 p.m., where Iraq War protesters clad in black, carrying torches and wearing ski masks were reportedly setting off smoke bombs and throwing paint as they approached an Army recruiting center on the block, said Sgt. Eric Pfeiffer, of the Milwaukee Police Department.

Someone threw an object through the recruitment center's window and spread what appears to be human waste inside before running off, Pfeiffer said.

Now can we question their patriotism?

Let that sink in for a moment, democrats are burning our soldiers in effigy.......It's not that democrats are against the war, they're actually on the other side. Can there be any question of that now? These are the people that are in Les's party. These people vote exactly like Les does. He must be so proud.

The multitude of charges filed recently against a Nelsonville teen has astonished prosecutors, some of whom have practiced law since before he was born.

Andrew Riley, 13, is charged with 128 felonies, in Athens County Juvenile Court. They include burglary, theft, vandalism and witness intimidation. The delinquency charges stem from a crime spree that has lasted more than a year, authorities said.

BAGHDAD, March 14 (KUNA) -- The rate of killings of US troops in Iraq has been on the decline, down by 60 percent, since the launch of the new security measures in Baghdad, according to statistics revealed by the Multi-National Force -Iraq Combined Press Information Centre.

Only 17 members of the US military in Iraq have been killed since February 14 till March 13, compared to 42 from January 13 to February 13; the rate was on the decline during the first month of the security crackdown, compared to a month before.

Two of the 17 soldiers died at US Baghdad camps of non-combat causes.

The remarkable decrease in killings among the US troops came at a time when more of these troops were deployed in the Iraqi capital, especially in districts previously regarded as extremely hazardous for them such as Al-Sadr City, Al-Azamiyah, and Al-Doura.

"A professor at North Idaho College says it's all right to talk about executing "anyone who's ever voted Republican" as long as it's said with a smile.

The belief was expressed by instructor Jessica Bryan when her comments were challenged by a student, Linda Cook, who served as an aide to the late U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth, R-Idaho, and is a longtime supporter of the Republican Party.

Cook wrote to the school asking for a refund on fees she paid for a course taught by Bryan, after she withdrew because of the instructor's comments. Cook told the Spokane Spokesman-Review that Bryan used every class period in the English composition course to criticize and disparage Republicans, including the suggestion of the death penalty for everyone who chooses to support a Republican with a vote.

....Among the allegations: Bryan reported President George W. Bush won the election "because people … can't read," and, regarding the death penalty: "First we line up everyone who can't think and right behind them, anyone who's ever voted Republican."

...Bryan said she thought Cook had enjoyed the "debate" of the classroom, but Cook said she chose not to confront the teacher during class time. "If someone's suggesting you just be killed you don't sit down and say 'let's talk,'" Cook said

Unfortunately this sentiment is far too prevalent on college campuses today. David Horowitz has documented thousands and thousands of similar statements. Once again, the only difference between Nazi's and liberals is that liberals don't have the means to exterminate their enemies, at least not yet.

“Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent where we remember our sins and the ways that we are complicit in evil in our society. As an American, the way that’s most clear today is through the War on Terror and the war on Iraq,” said Christopher Doucot, a first-year master’s student who came up with the idea for the service. About 40 to 45 students, faculty, administrators and local residents attended the service, intended to provide an opportunity for reflection on such topics as secret prisons, “indiscriminate bombings,” domestic spying and torture.

“We were reminding ourselves of our own complicity,” said Doucot. “We’re not pointing fingers at anyone but ourselves.”

"Indiscriminate bombings?" You mean like the ones committed by al Qaeda? Blowing up markets, schools, and everywhere else people are present? It's unbelievable that here we are trying to rid the world of those who chop off heads in the name of religion but we're the bad guys. Federal deficit plummets:

WASHINGTON -- The federal deficit for the first five months of the budget year is down sharply as growth in tax collections outpaced spending increases.

The Treasury Department says the shortfall from October through February totaled 162-point-two billion dollars. That's a drop of 25 and a-half percent from the same period a year ago.

For the budget year that began October First, revenues are up by nine-point-three percent while the rise in spending was two-point-three percent.

How sad is it that you put your life on the line in Afghanistan just to get beat up by 4 spineless liberals at home?

A Canadian soldier awarded a Medal of Military Valour for braving enemy fire in Afghanistan is angry after he says was jumped from behind and taunted by four men who beat him up in a Morrisburg bar on the weekend.

Master Cpl. Collin Fitzgerald, who was awarded a Medal of Valour for heroic actions in Afghanistan by Governor-General Michalle Jean on Feb. 19, had his foot broken in three places and needed 10 stitches to close a cut above his right eye. The 27-year-old soldier also suffered a broken nose and two black eyes in the attack, which occurred after midnight Saturday morning.

Master Cpl. Fitzgerald said Monday he had only been in the bar about 20 minutes when he was struck from behind.

"I don't even remember getting hit," he said.

"I went and sat down at one of the tables, and next thing I knew I woke up and a hole in my head and I couldn't walk on my foot," said Master Cpl. Fitzgerald, adding that witnesses told him one of the men said, 'What kind of f--king hero are you now?' as they were being pulled off of him.

Oh yeah, that half a degree over the past 100 years is gonna cause all this disaster. I still remember back in the 70's when they told us that glaciers would engulf the United States by the year 2000. I wonder if the people who pray at the alter of global warming have any idea how completely silly they look?

Now that the Albert Lea unit of the Minnesota Army National Guard is back from the Mexican border, the soldiers are being sent to Kosovo.

They will be part of the more than 400 Minnesota Army National Guard soldiers that are slated to support the Kosovo International Security Force. They will be responsible for NATO peacekeeping operations in Kosovo for one year, beginning this fall.

A House Democrat has arranged for a conference room in the Capitol building to be used tomorrow by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim advocacy group criticized for its persistent refusal to disavow terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

As we all know CAIR is a front group for various terrorist organizations.

But there is another side to CAIR that has alarmed many people in positions to know. The Department of Homeland Security refuses to deal with it. Senator Charles Schumer (Democrat, New York) describes it as an organization "which we know has ties to terrorism."[3] Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat, Illinois) observes that CAIR is "unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect."[4] Steven Pomerantz, the FBI's former chief of counterterrorism, notes that "CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups."[5] The family of John P. O'Neill, Sr., the former FBI counterterrorism chief who perished at the World Trade Center, named CAIR in a lawsuit as having "been part of the criminal conspiracy of radical Islamic terrorism"[6] responsible for the September 11 atrocities. Counterterrorism expert Steven Emerson calls it "a radical fundamentalist front group for Hamas."[7]

You're Not Going To Believe What Is Being Blamed On George Bush Now

A shoplifting suspect, who was fired on last year after an altercation with a Giant Eagle security guard in Collier, was acquitted on all charges in a nonjury hearing today before Allegheny County Judge Randal B. Todd.

Though the shoplifting allegations were thrown out at an earlier hearing, Craig E. Gates, 37, of Cecil, still faced charges of simple assault against the security guard, Bernard McNally Jr., and store manager Bradley Zupancic, resulting from a fight that took place when the two confronted him for allegedly pocketing some braunschweiger and garlic sausage. Mr. Gates was also charged with recklessly endangering Mr. Zupancic.

Ok, you're thinking what in the world does this have to do with the President right? Well, you don't have to wait any longer:

Mr. McNally, of Carnegie, faces a trial June 19 on charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangering Mr. Gates. Mr. Gates' attorney John Elash said the security guard beat and choked Mr. Gates and his client suffered a broken nose and bruises. Police informed Mr. Gates' wife a security guard had shot at him as he drove away and that he might be hurt.

Mr. Elash said he thinks the security guard may have been trigger happy as a result of having served for the U.S. military in Iraq.

"I feel sorry for him. He's a victim of George Bush's crazy policy to send kids to Iraq. Even in Pittsburgh, only an insane person would shoot at somebody over braunschweiger," he said.

Democrats want to move their friends from Gitmo to the east coast.

Key House Democrats plan to insist the Pentagon shut down the detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and are contemplating the relocation of many of the 385 or so remaining terrorist suspects to military brigs along the East Coast -- including Quantico, Va., and Charleston, S.C.

"It sets us back in the war on terrorism to be maintaining Guantanamo," said Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.), who's heading an investigation of the facility for the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.

Democrats, Don't You Dare Infringe On The Terrorists Right To Free Speach

How does one even begin to understand the democrat mind?

The lead story on 60 Minutes tonight filed by Scott Pelley is about how the internet is responsible for the attempt on Vice President Dick Cheney's life when he was in Afghanistan last week.

The story IGNORES the fact that the Bush Administration has completely ignored Al Qaeda since they invaded Iraq. He is at this moment suggesting that - gasp - horrors - "posting videos" is contributing to terrorism.

Pelley claims that the immediacy of the internets is compromising national security.

I don't know quite what to say at this point. I am still in the process of processing the "You're Fucking Kidding Me" information that Pelley is trying to float as if it was a truism beyond a shadow or a doubt.

Here we go on the next assault on free speech. This one the media will heartily support so as to kill their competition - that would be "us" by the way.

My God. This country is totally screwed up. I thought we had a chance to bring it back, but I am not at all hopeful anymore.

First off we all know that al Qaeda has come into Iraq in droves to fight us. How in the world did this lie start? Are democrats really so intellectually challenged that they actually think that al Qaeda is not in Iraq? In each and every one of the terrorists propaganda videos they tell us they're there. Can one hate their country to such an extent that they would make up lies to help the enemy? Which brings me to the second point. An Early Endorsement

Things can change but for now I'm leaning toward Rudy Giuliani for President. I'm not much of a social conservative although I agree more or less with their agenda. Social issues are just not that important to me. What's important to me is economically sound policies like low tax rates and national defense and I think Rudy is pretty darn good on both. Now, I do need to hear more on his stance on the second amendment. He was in favor of gun control in New York. If he is for more gun control than I will change my mind. I need to hear who he would appoint as judges to the various courts too. If he stresses strict constructionists then I'll be alright with that.

1 Year Anniversary
